Isaiah 53: Jesus Crucified

Isaiah 53 is clearly about Jesus suffering on the cross.
Wounded and beaten for our sin (transgressions & iniquities)
This is perhaps the most amazing prophecy found in Old Testament about Jesus.
Chapter 53 is one reason that Isaiah has been called "The Fifth Gospel"
 
 

Some Steps of A Disciple of Jesus

1. Learn to trust the Lord
2. Get alone with God
3. Deny Yourself
4. Take up The Cup of Suffering
These are some of the ways that you can follow Jesus.
If you are His you will follow Him; if not, then you will just look for the Lord to do something for you,,

Set Apart for His Purpose

All followers of Jesus are to be set apart for His purposes.
He had a plan for you, even before He created the universe...Ephesians 2:10
Being Sanctified means to be set apart for a purpose...His purpose
If you are in His will in this, then you experience the "Abundant Life" that Jesus promised.

Family Turns Against God's People

We have a Biblical History of family turning on God's people; Cain and Abel, Moab and Ammon (Abraham's great nephews), Moab (Jacobs Brother) all of these turned against the descendants of Abraham
Jesus also prophesied that families would divide agaisnt each other because one would follow Jesus and the other would not,
I experienced this in my life with one of my sons.
But God will work all of this out...In many ways He already has...

Even Believers Will Be Judged

Scripture tells us that the Father gave Jesus the authority to Judge all mankind,
The non-believers at the Great White Throne Judgement Seat
And The Christian to be judged at the Judgement Seat of Christ..aka the Beema Seat,,,for what you did with the life He gave you,
No one will escape this, so live each day for Him..

Warning to Wealthy Christians

Jesus said,"it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God" Matthew 19:24
This warning is not taken seriously by most wealthy Believers today.
Especially for the wealthy pastors. 
Perhaps those who have much more than they need should listen to the warning of Jesus.
I mean, if you claim He is your Lord, perhaps you should at least think on and pray about the things you do with your life..This includes your wealth and treasure

Teaching the Essentials in the Philippines

Essentials of Christianity (Part 2) or A Deeper Dive
It is difficult for "churched" people to truly grasp what is meant by essentials. I realize that I could have been clearer in explaining this from my former podcast on Essentials.
In the Philippines, we are trying to overcome believers who do not read the scripture daily and do not truly know how to follow Jesus.
Many are more into following churches than following Jesus

What Are The Essentials of Cristianity

We are to be firm on the essential teachings of Christianity, and give much grace for the non-essential ones.
To obey Jesus in His call for unity in the Body of Christ; we focus only on these necessary doctrines...
In The Pursuit of God, AW Tozer noted that "We must strip down to essentials (and they will be found to be blessedly few". 

Why You MUST Read and Learn The Bible

Five reasons that you MUST read and learn to understand what the Scripture says.
1. To become a seed sower
2. To be protected from false teachers and cults
3. To keep us from sin
4. To discern the truth
5. To know God and follow Him

Neither Protestant Nor Catholic

Here in the Philippines we have all kinds of kids and youth coming to our Bible studies. Some are Catholic, and many are Protestant. More of them are probably nothing in particular,
We do not teach Church, we teach Jesus.
This way we can reach all the folks. That is why we are not a "Church"
